APOLLO (After-School Partners Offering Life-long Learning Opportunities)

We offer a program from 3:15 – 6:00pm Monday thru Friday. There is academic/homework assistance, martial arts, music, science, fashion design, scrapbooking, team building, gardening and community service projects.
We also offer Mon thru Thursday an evening program from 7:00 - 9:00pm solely for academic support.
A few times a year we do large outdoor programs for example “The Amazing Race”, Iron Chef, etc…We also run the science fair.

What Outreach efforts/activities are being conducted with 8th and/or 9th grade students?:
We offer a mentoring program with 8/9 grade mentoring in our elementary program. We also have a “Growing friends and gardens” program. We grow vegetables and strawberries which we take to the elderly in our community and then play cards, chess, etc. with them. We also partner with the day program doing restoration work from the Moonlight Fire.
