The Center for Afterschool Education and Arcadia University in Pennsylvania are offering a 3 day summer institute; Teaching and Learning in Out-of-School-Time August 15-17, 2008 on the Arcadia University Campus. Participants who attend the institute, complete 3 online courses, and complete a practicum will receive three units in an Arcadia University Graduate Certificate in Afterschool Education. The Texas Comprehensive Center offers you the opportunity to continue to build your skills in Working Systemically to increase student achievement. This event is planned to build on the June Forum.
Objectives:
- Promote coherence in technical assistance provided to Title I districts and schools
- Increase understanding of the phases, levels, components, and competencies that make up the Working Systemically approach to school improvement
- Increase understanding of NCLB provisions related to school support teams
