A statewide initiative, the After School Literacy Project holds important promise to strengthen supplemental support services for students in California after school programs. This project is a partnership of The After School Partnerships Office (ASPO) of the California Department of Education (CDE); San Diego State University Research Foundation; and the Region 9 Technical Assistance Center for After School Programs.

This audio conference, intended for program developers, intermediaries, and community organizations, will highlight potential financing strategies and promising practices from the mentoring field. This event will include a panel of speakers that can share local perspectives and will conclude with an interactive question-and-answer session with participants. The audio conference, offered by the Finance Project, will take place between 10:00a.m. - 12:00p.m. pacific standard time on December 18, 2008.
