Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development recently released this article which focuses on high-quality mathematics exercises conducted after-school to increase student achievement and improve attitudes toward learning math. It highlights six practices and identifies nine principles that should guide practitioners in the planning and designing of after-school math programs. The article links to the larger studies by which the principles and practices were cited, a comprehensive rubric outlining the nine documented principles, and the SEDL online toolkit math section.
