Dear Out-of-School Time Community,

While we can’t be together tomorrow at the Capitol, you can send your voice to Sacramento in support of afterschool and summer programs and the children and families that count on them.

Tomorrow we will show up in full as a community – virtually – to ensure our representatives hear loud and clear that #CaAfterschoolWorks! Tomorrow, tell your story and alert legislators of the critical need for increased funding for afterschool. 
  

Act tomorrow, at the VIRTUAL CHALLENGE!

• Join the Social Media Blitz: From 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm tomorrow (3/10/20) – Tell you story and invite your students to tell their story video or quote about why Afterschool Works. Post on social media, use #CaAfterschoolWorks and tag your representatives. Get the social media toolkit. Find your legislator. 
• Create a Virtual Legislative Visit: Text “Afterschool” to 52886 or “MiEscuela” to 52886 to contact your representatives. It only takes a few minutes but your calls, emails, and social media posts can help make the difference for children and families in your community. Information on the need for funding. You can contact your representatives on your computer as well: English and Spanish.
