Student Advisory or Council-After School

We are interested in setting up a cross-age student advisory or council at each of our K-8 after school programs. I would like to hear from programs that have done this.
After School Advisory-
Our site has used a cross-age student advisory...and it has worked extremely well. We have in addition created forums for our students to gather their insight. Students are extremely receptive...There are a variety of ways of creating the teams, and the benefits are priceless data.....for planning purposes.
