Bridgeport Elementary School
The Lights on After School program runs every day after school until 5pm. Any and all students are invited to attend.
This program is intended to keep kids safe, improve academic achievement and help relieve the stresses on today's working families. It serves as an important youth intervention strategy. Activities may cover topics such as ecology, reading, math, science, the arts, and physical activity.
The after school programs first objective will be “Home Work Club” and Remediation. Students will be provided a structured environment to get homework done. Advisors will be there to help with questions and monitor the completion of homework.
Students have a daily activity, both physical (indoor/outdoor sports) and stationary (arts/crafts) and a healthy snack provided. We are hoping again to include an art program as well as an indoor garden.
