Earlier this month, Phil Ting, California Assembly Budget Chair released the 2019-20 Blueprint for a Responsible Budget. Page eight of the Blueprint highlights the need to, “expand Early Education and After School Programs.” While this Blueprint does not guarantee additional funding for California’s After School and Summer Learning programs, it is important that after school programs are highlighted as a publicly stated goal for the Assembly. Take a couple moments to locate and thank your local Assemblymember and let them know that you support their commitment to supporting after school programs in 2019.
