The California Food Policy Advocates releases an annual report looking at the reach of summer nutrition programs across California. This report, for 2013, reveals that 82% of California’s low income children fell into the summer nutrition gap, meaning that they benefited from free or reduced priced lunches during the school year, but not during summer.
