Silver Tree is a week-long outdoor is a traditional day camp in Glen Park Canyon. It operates 8:00am-6:00pm Monday through Friday and serves 180 campers ranging between 5-14 years of age. This includes a Leader in Training(LIT) program for 13-14 year olds. Camp activities include: arts and crafts projects, archery, Friday Night Theatre performances, interactive nature hikes, campfire safety and building, and a variety of outdoor recreation games. Silver Tree is the largest and oldest summer camp in the history of SFRPD and is considered a generational camp that is rich in both tradition and culture. The Camp Counselors lead 12 to 16 campers through programs throughout the day. Each Camp Counselor will have one or two youth assistants aged 15+ to mentor.
