New CALSAC Website Features Free Training Opportunities

The California School-Age Consortium (CALSAC) has recently released their  updated website which features many new resources for professionals aiming to enrich childhood education. A major change to the website allows facilitators to access low-cost and free training opportunities for afterschool programs looking to build the foundational skills necessary when working with children. The new website has a section to browse training catalogs as well as training packages for interested professionals.

California Afterschool Advocacy Brief

The California Afterschool Advocacy Alliance (CA3) has recently released a brief which supports the funding of afterschool programs through the use of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). The brief argues that using LCFF dollars would expand programs to a wider range of schools across California, therefore increasing the reach to students, and enhance program quality.
