The California School-Age Consortium has announced the English Learner Training & Professional Development Project, a training that aims to equip expanded learning time providers with the skills and resources necessary to provide high-quality English Learners education to youth. The project is a series of trainings than span from Fall 2014 to Spring 2015 and include intensive workshops, tool booklets, and site observations. OST providers will learn promising practices for supporting the needs of English Learners and strategies on how to involve families and communities on fostering a positive learning environment. Applications are now open for the 2014-2015 school year.
