Learning Communities for School Success (Proposition 47) Grant Application Released

The California Department of Education has just released the Request for Applications (RFA) for the Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Fund: Learning Communities for School Success grant program; a grant program established due to the passage of proposition 47 by California voters, and implemented through co-joined legislation, AB 1014 and SB 527. The purpose of the program is to reduce truancy and support pupils who are at risk of dropping out of school or who are victims of crime. Districts with high rates of chronic absence, out-of-school suspensions, and school drop outs will be given priority. Proposals are due April 28, 2017 Click here to download the application.
