The American Institutes for Research (AIR) recently released two new resources on social and emotional learning (SEL) for the afterschool field. Beyond the Bell: Research to Practice in the Afterschool and Expanded Learning Field, a focused summary of research on SEL in after school programs. Social and Emotional Learning Practices: A self-reflection tool for afterschool staff, a new resource designed to help afterschool program staff reflect on their current SEL practices as well as their own social and emotional competencies.
