The How Kids Learn (HKL) conference is dedicated to providing those who are interested in improving youth outcomes with thought-provoking, educational opportunities featuring national thinkers and researchers, innovative practitioners. Registration is now open for this annual conference taking place in two locations; Berkeley CA (Thursday December 10, 2015) and Los Angeles CA (Thursday January 21, 2016). HKL V will feature leading thinkers and  afterschool practitioners on research and strategies for preparing youth for work and career success. In addition to the HKL conference, a speakers forum will be held in Oakland CA on December 11, 2015 featuring Jenny Nagaoka, Deputy Director of the University of Chicago’s Consortium on Chicago School Research, and lead author of a recent report, Foundations for Young Adult Success.
