The California Department of Education, Nutrition Services Division invites food service directors to submit proposals to be included in the 8th Biennial Child Obesity Conference from June 29 – July 2, 2015. The early planning serves to encourage programs to consider presenting at the conference as the proposal deadline is August 28, 2014. There are 8 categories for presentations: 
1. Basic and Applied Research
2. Built Environment, Land Use, and Transportation
3. Community Nutrition and Physical Activity 
4. Early Childhood Education
5. Food Systems
6. Marketing to Kids
7. Healthcare Approaches to Prevention
8. School, After School, and Summer Programs and Policies
