Torlakson Announces Updated List of Programs Serving Nutritious Meals to Low-Income Families

California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson recently announced the release of updated lists on the California Department of Education’s website of child and adult care centers serving free or low-cost meals to families in need. The Child and Adult Food Care Program (CAFCP) is dedicated to providing nutritious meals to families of children enrolled in participating programs if they meet eligibility guidelines. Currently, there are approximately 5,000 local child care centers and 17,000 sponsored family day care home providers in California participating in CACFP.
