Region 3 Lights On Celebration at the State Capitol
This will be a celebration of after school programs in our region and statewide and will feature prominent educational speakers such as Jack O'Connell; Superintendent of Public Instruction for California, Gordon Jackson; head of learning supports for the California Department of Education, and law enforcement speakers who will speak briefly in support of the benefits of after school programs.
The event will also feature student dance, musical, and talent performances, as well as after school student, staff, parent, and program awards.

This interactive workshop will include the elements of successful service learning projects. How to identify, coordinate and assess service learning projects, including developing successful community partnerships and techniques to engage youth and develop youth voice and leadership
