This free webinar will offer a brief overview of the history of afterschool programs in America. Presenters will go on to discuss the five critical principles of learning that are being promoted by the Learning in Afterschool & Summer (LIAS) project and the research behind them. These principles are being used increasingly by CDE and program leaders to define “engaged learning” and “quality expanded learning opportunities”.
