Deadline is Quickly Approaching for ASES Renewal and Universal Applications
Deadline: Wednesday, November 9, 2016

The ASES Renewal Application is for existing grant recipients in Grant Cycle B who wish to continue funding at existing levels. The ASES Universal Application is for new applicants and for existing grant recipients who wish to increase funding. Approximately $5 million in funding is available for ASES Universal grants. The remaining funds are obligated for ongoing grants funded via the Renewal application. Reminder: 21st Century Community Learning Centers RFA Deadline Approaching
Deadline: Wednesday, December 21, 2016

The California Department of Education’s Expanded Learning Division released Requests for Applications (RFAs) for 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) Elementary & Middle School programs, and High School After School Safety and Enrichment Teens (ASSETs) programs. An estimated $15 million in funding has been allocated for 21st CCLC programs proposing to serve Elementary and Middle/Junior High School Students in kindergarten

Register Today for the California Department of Education Expanded Learning Programs 2016 Grantee Orientation
"Building a Foundation for Quality"

The California Department of Education’s Expanded Learning Division, in partnership with the California AfterSchool Network, will be hosting two, one day Grantee Orientations for After School Education and Safety (ASES) and 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Grantees. Orientations will take place in Ontario on November 15th and will feature an opening plenary, action planning with your team, and four workshops (Grants 101 and Beyond, Quality Standards: Because Quality Matters, (CQI)Continuous Quality Improvement in Action, and Federal Program Monitoring: Where Compliance Meets Quality). Participants are recommended to attend with teams responsible for program oversight and implementation, fiscal management and reporting (e.g., Grant/Fiscal Managers, Program Directors, Site Coordinators, and ASES & 21st CCLC program partners). Does your after school program need computers? Is your school’s computer lab not available after hours? Apply for free computers to dedicate to your program.  RRRcomputer.org is a fiscally sponsored non-profit organization with the mission to enhance a child’s education by providing computers to children in grades K-6. They reclaim computers from local tech companies, refurbishes them to be child ready and safe, and sets them up for you to reuse. To apply, simply fill out the online form or contact apply@RRRcomputer.org
