Principal of Expanded Learning, Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District

Janerl Lampson is an accomplished education leader known for creating innovative, student-centered programs that expand opportunities and strengthen school communities. Throughout her career, she has served in teaching, district, and administrative leadership roles, always focused on helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

During twelve years as a kindergarten teacher, Janerl also served in district roles supporting new teachers and supporting English Learner education initiatives. She began her work in the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) in Bakersfield in 2024, then moved to the Bay Area in 2025 to lead ELO-P for the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District. In both communities, her approach combines academic enrichment, physical activity, mentorship, creativity, and whole-child development to create meaningful, memorable experiences for students. She excels at turning ambitious ideas into comprehensive programs, using curriculum that bridges the school day and ELO-P, and she brings educators, community partners, and families together around a shared vision for students.

Known for her creativity, empathy, and ability to turn vision into results, Janerl continues to push the boundaries of expanded learning, leading her team with purpose. Her leadership reflects a simple belief: students deserve more than access to programs. They deserve experiences that build confidence, spark curiosity, create joy, and help them see what’s possible.
