Chief Strategy and Community Impact Officer, Positive Coaching Alliance

Robert Marcus serves as the Chief Strategy and Community Impact Officer at Positive Coaching Alliance. In this role, he leads organizational strategy, community impact, and sports equity initiatives, ensuring that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are embedded across PCA’s programs, advocacy, impact measurement, and decision-making to advance equitable access to youth sports.

Robert oversees PCA’s Sports Equity work, including coalition building, volunteer coach recruitment, community roundtables, advocacy efforts, and impact measurement. He works closely with communities and stakeholders to elevate local voices, strengthen partnerships, and use data and storytelling to inform community-based solutions and drive accountability.

Before joining PCA in 2022, Robert served in several leadership roles at Coaching Corps. A nationally recognized leader in youth sports, he serves on multiple local and national boards and advisory committees dedicated to expanding equitable opportunities for young people. He is passionate about empowering communities to address systemic inequities and create lasting, meaningful change through the power of sports

Robert grew up in Oakland, California, and he and his family remain stalwart Oakland residents. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, East Bay, where he graduated cum laude. When not working, Robert can be found volunteering in the community or on a local golf course.
