The Hour of Code is a campaign intended to expand global participation in compute science activities. This year, Minecraft is participating in the Hour of Code. Minecraft, is a popular game of 3D building blocks within an interactive world. The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, intended to expand global participation in computer science to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. Designed for ages 6 and up, the Minecraft tutorial introduces players to basic coding skills, encouraging them to navigate, mine, craft, and explore in a 2D Minecraft world. The how-to guide will walk you through how to sign up, view a brief video on how to join, then students can choose a one hour tutorial that walks them through the basics of coding.
