We’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on Brenda Buzane of the Imperial County Office of Education (Region 9) and the System of Support for Expanded Learning (SSEL), whose leadership and impact continue to inspire the field!

Brenda is an exemplary leader who passionately inspires others to reach their full potential. As the Imperial County STEAM Hub Lead and a dedicated leader in the System of Support for Expanded Learning, she is paving the way for transformative growth. In collaboration with ASAPconnect, she is coaching the first STEAM Leadership Academy in California and Imperial County. The STEAM Leadership Academy is a powerful initiative designed to elevate leadership and communication skills, deepen understanding of STEAM program quality, and build confidence in leading impactful STEAM initiatives. Selected applicants will engage both in-person and virtually, receiving personalized support to enhance their leadership and facilitation skills. Through hands-on guidance, this cohort of Expanded Learning leaders will cultivate equity, collaboration, and a growth mindset.
