The State of the State of Expanded Learning in California 2017-2018 provides an overview of the public investment in expanded learning opportunities in California. This year’s report outlines that expanded learning programs provide after school and summer learning opportunities to nearly 800,000 of California’s students with the greatest needs through over 4,500 expanded learning programs.
Join the fun! Help celebrate the 19th annual Lights On Afterschool on October 25, 2018! Launched in October 2000, Lights On Afterschool is the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of children, families and communities. The effort has become a hallmark of the afterschool movement and generates media coverage across the country each year.
Registration for the 2nd Annual California Cruz’n: Statewide Site Coordinator Expanded Learning Symposium is NOW OPEN. This year’s Symposium will take place February 8th– 9th, 2019, at the Queen Mary located in Long Beach, CA. Partners throughout the state of California are excited to bring this special opportunity for Site Coordinators to learn from and alongside other Site Coordinators with in the expanded learning field.
The Challenge is a one of a kind event that brings together hundreds of after school and school-age care providers, families and youth to share their stories of why after school and summer programming for youth matters!
Come advocate to adequately fund California’s Expanded Learning programs on behalf of the over 500,000 students and their families that are positively impacted by expanded learning programs every day.
