Manager, Scholar Programs, Alliance College-Ready Public Schools

Doris Arango-Reyes serves as the Manager of Scholar Programs at Alliance College-Ready Public Schools, where she supports a network of 25 schools with after-school programming, enrichment, and athletics. With over 16 years of experience in expanded learning—from program leader and coordinator to her current network-level role—Doris brings deep insight into what it takes to create programs that are joyful, inclusive, and rooted in scholar voice.

At Alliance, Doris supports out-of-school-time planning, works closely with school leadership and partner organizations, develops professional development sessions, and facilitates strategic collaboration. Her work bridges compliance and creativity, ensuring programming meets requirements while remaining scholar-centered, joyful, and sustainable. She is especially passionate about co-creating systems that empower after-school professionals and support high-quality implementation through shared PD and aligned practices.

She’s excited to bring both her on-the-ground experience and systems-level leadership to the CAN Leadership Team to continue advocating for California’s incredible expanded learning workforce and the scholars they serve.
