The California Department of Education recently shared an important announcement to Applicants for the After School Education and Safety (ASES) Universal Program.

The Expanded Learning Division (EXLD) is pleased to announce the posting of the Final Intent to Award (ITA) for the ASES Program located on the California Department of Education (CDE) website: Funding Results: After School Education and Safety (CA Dept of Education).

The Final ITA list shows only new funding awarded through the ASES Universal 2025–26 Request for Applications (RFA). Current ASES grantees and grantees listed within the ASES Renewal process will not appear on this funding list.

Due to the availability of funding, the EXLD is able to fund all qualified sites. Those sites are listed on the Final ITA posting. These grant awards are made contingent on the allocation of state funds to the State of California.

To help implement a successful, high-quality program, please access the following resources on the CDE web pages linked below:

If you have any questions regarding the ASES Universal final ITA, please contact Joshua Brady, Education Administrator I, Student Success and Career Readiness Branch, Expanded Learning Division, by email at JBrady@cde.ca.gov.

Congratulations to all awardees and best wishes for your program in 2025-26!
