As a result of remaining funds to award from the fiscal year (FY) 25 –26 ASES Universal RFA, the Expanded Learning Division (EXLD) of the California Department of Education (CDE) is pleased to announce the release of the ASES Universal Program Request for Applications (RFA) Round 2. Awarded funding will also begin on July 1, 2025, for 2025–26 FY. The ASES Universal RFA is for new program sites or for current grantees that wish to apply for increased funding to the legislative cap. The ASES Universal RFA can be found on the CDE Funding Opportunities web page located at RFA: After School Education and Safety (CA Dept of Education). The RFA will provide background and details of all the application requirements.

The printed hard copy application packet with original signature must be sent via U.S. Mail or other mail courier services to the Expanded Learning Division (EXLD) at the address below. The application packet must be postmarked on or before December 3, 2025, at 4P.M. The EXLD will not accept personally delivered or emailed ASES Universal Round 2 applications.
