Calendar Year 2025 Expanded Learning Grant Reduction List – Initial
March 13, 2026
The initial Calendar Year 2025 Reduction Process is now complete for the After School Education and Safety (ASES), 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) elementary/middle school and the High School After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens (ASSETs) Programs. If you are receiving this email, it is because one or more of your school site(s) did not meet the 85.00 percent (65.00 percent for Frontier Sites) minimum attendance target across two consecutive calendar years or did not meet 75.00 percent (55.00 percent for Frontier Sites) minimum attendance target in the most current calendar year.
The attendance reduction calculations use the actual reported percentages (out to two decimal places) and include an additional 15.00 percent cushion for growth.
The total amount of reductions calculated for ASES, 21st CCLC elementary/middle school, and ASSETs funded sites totaled: $29,486,232.09
- ASES Reduction: $13,771,411.33
- 21st CCLC elementary/middle school Reduction: $8,602,333.56
- ASSETs Reduction: $7,112,487.20
As a reminder:
The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) funding for additional student slots can count toward existing ASES and 21st CCLC elementary/middle school attendance as long as the program is considered a single, comprehensive program.
In addition, if a school site is dual funded with both ASES and 21st CCLC elementary/middle school funds for the same sub-component, the grantee must ensure that the ASES attendance shall meet 85.00 percent before the 21st CCLC elementary/middle school attendance.
If you feel that the attendance reports for these sub-components at the school site’s listed are not correct, you may submit an attendance revision to your regional fiscal analyst. Please note that the attendance used for this initial grant reduction process captured attendance in ASSIST as-is on March 2, 2026. These attendance revision requests must be received no later than March 23, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted to be considered for the grant reduction process.
Please reach out to your fiscal analyst to request the appropriate Attendance Revision Form. The grantee must complete the form and e-mail a signed, scanned copy back to the fiscal analyst. All attendance requests will be reviewed for approval before any corrections to the attendance data are made in the reduction spreadsheet and in ASSIST. The final reduction list will be emailed out by April 10, 2026.
