Important Update Re: Delay in Issuance of the 2025 Office of Management and Budget Compliance Supplement

Currently, there is a delay in the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) issuance of the 2025 compliance supplement. This could potentially cause delay in the submission of the annual audit reports by non-local educational agencies (non-LEAs) to the California Department of Education.

For non-LEAs using 21st Century funds, we are considering extension requests. The extension request will be in increments of no longer than 45 calendar days and will not exceed a total of 90 calendar days from the December 15, 2025 due date, as established pursuant to California Education Code section 41020.

However, should the delay continue to extend beyond March 31, 2026, we will consider other accommodations as warranted by the situation.
