Policy Guide Committee Call for Applicants: Applications Available Now

The Policy Guide Committee is being formed to develop, implement and maintain clear policies that support quality programs. Expanded Learning program policies will include the regulatory source and corresponding levels of program accountability.  The Policy Guide Committee will also develop and implement a timely and collaborative process for reviewing, revising, and notifying the field of new and existing policies.
 
This committee will be led by After School Division (ASD) Marlena Uhrik, Education Programs Consultant, and co-lead by Nora Zamora from the California After School Resource Center (CASRC). Lisa McClung, Education Programs Consultant will serve as ASD back-up.
 
Work Group Composition: Approximately 8-10 members from a diverse group of representatives from after school programs and/or related fields. Previous experience in policy development is desirable.
  
Work Group Commitment/Requirements:

The team will meet in-person on a quarterly basis (or as needed)
Monthly conference calls in between meetings
The work commitment will be approximately 8-10 hours per month (or as needed)
Three one-year renewable commitment starting September 2014 and ending September 2017
Travel costs for committee members are not covered

 
First Meeting
The first meeting of the Policy Committee will take place in Sacramento, California from 10:00 am-2:00 pm on one of the following dates:

September 8, 2014
September 15, 2014
September 22, 2014

Please indicate your availability when submitting your application.Additional meeting times and conference calls for the Policy Guide Committee will be scheduled at the first meeting.
 
If you are interested in becoming a Policy Guide Committee member you must attend the first meeting and cover your own travel expenses; however lunch will be provided at the first meeting
