  • Users will see a new color palette, improved navigation, and reports.
  • All data points and functionality will remain the same.

System Updates for 20252026 Performance Data Reporting

The following change will take place during the 2026–2027 reporting cycle when users are entering 20252026 performance data.

  1. All states will report SUMMER and SCHOOL YEAR data.

IMPORTANT CURRENT DATA COLLECTION:All states must collect data for 2025 Summer programming and 20252026 School Year programming for data entry in the 21APR system for the 20262027 reporting cycle.

  1. There is a current shift from using the term “GPRA measures” to using “Program Performance Outcomes” (PPOs). The system will use the term GPRA measures to describe outcomes for the current reporting cycle, but this will change in the 20262027 reporting cycle, when the PPO term will be used instead.

Guidance on Activity Categories

Changes to the Activity categories will go into effect during the 20262027 reporting cycle. This means:

→ Activities data will need to be COLLECTED for 2026 Summer programming and 20262027 School Year programming, with the inclusion of the following updated Activity Categories:

  • Academic Enrichment will no longer be a singular category, but will be broken down into three separate categories:

     – Academic Enrichment – Accelerated Learning

     – Academic Enrichment – Mentoring Program

     – Academic Enrichment – Remedial Education or Tutoring Services

  • Financial Literacy will be added as a new category

→ Data collected for these updated Activity categories will be ENTERED into the 21APR system during the 20272028 reporting cycle (when 2026 2027 performance data is being entered).

High-Quality and Valid Data

The expectation for data reporting in 21APR is for all states to report high-quality and valid data. This means 21APR data is on time, accurate, complete, and correct
