Vision to Learn Providing Free Exams and Glasses to Children in Afterschool
Statistics show that approximately 1 in every 7 children have impaired vision that often goes undiagnosed. With its professionally staffed mobile clinics, the nonprofit organization Vision to Learn is working to reverse this trend by providing free eye exams and eyeglasses to children participating in after school and summer programs. Vision to Learn has already improved the vision of over 15,000 children. This spring and summer, Vision to Learn will be serving low-income communities, traveling throughout the Sacramento, Los Angeles, and Bay Area with their mobile clinics. After school and summer programs are advised to sign up as space is limited and will fill up fast.
