ASES Universal Request for
Applications (RFA) Round 2: The ASES Round 2
RFA opens for new sites or existing grantees seeking increased
funding from remaining FY25-26 funds, with awards beginning
July 1, 2025. The application packet must be mailed and
postmarked by December 3, 2025.
- 21st CCLC Supplemental RFA Update – Correction on Dual Funded Sites: Schools that are already “dual-funded” (with both an ASES grant and a 21st CCLC grant) cannot receive two Supplemental grants at the same site; only one award per dual-funded site is allowed.

Attendance
Relief and Reduction Timeline: CDE will begin
reducing grants for ASES, 21st CCLC, and ASSETs programs
effective July 1, 2026, if attendance targets
aren’t met. Attendance relief requests must be submitted
by January 31, 2026, and programs must meet
minimum attendance thresholds or face automatic funding
adjustment.

You’re Invited - Before & Afterschool Advisory Committee
Meeting: CDE EXLD is hosting its next Before
& Afterschool Advisory Committee meeting on Tuesday, November
18, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
- ASES Renewal Cycle B – Due January 9, 2026: Current grantees under Cycle B of ASES, spanning July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2029, must submit their Program Plan and Renewal Application by January 9, 2026 to apply for another three-year period.
