The California Department of Education has released the first draft of the 2016 Science Framework for California Public Schools, Kindergarten Through Grade Twelve (Science Framework). This will be available for its first 60-day period of public review and comment. The Science Framework will guide teachers, district and county administrators, other educators, and publishers in their instructional materials, curriculum, instruction, assessments, and professional learning. It will also provide guidance for implementing the Next Generation Science Standards for California Public Schools, Kindergarten through Grade Twelve. The draft framework is on the CDE Science Framework Public Review and Comment Web page and the public may leave comments at scienceframework@cde.ca.gov.
