November is Native American Heritage Month and is a time to pay tribute to the rich ancestry and traditions of Native Americans and honor the significant contributions they have made to our society and STEAM. Check out! This website has resources for teachers, educators, and our communities to learn more about the heritage and history of American Indians.

As Thanksgiving approaches, we encourage folks to learn about how to Decolonize Thanksgiving this year! Two ways you can do this is to learn about What Native Americans Really Think of Thanksgiving and 3 Ways to Decolonize Thanksgiving.

Questions begin a path toward discovery, imagination, and STEM exploration. How can we help youth expand and clarify their thinking and develop their reasoning through the questions we ask them? This module is a great way to train staff on facilitating STEM learning. Experienced educators also love being part of a cohort as a way to connect with other educators across the country, to learn new lesson plans, and to reflect on practice.  This is our introductory module and a prerequisite to other opportunities.

The Californians Dedicated to Education Foundation, in collaboration with the California Department of Education and the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, are pleased to invite STEAM enthusiasts to attend the 11th annual California STEAM Symposium. The symposium will feature breakout and keynote sessions that will focus on nurturing student agency, identity, and inclusion and strengthening the educator workforce, emphasizing the importance of promoting equity in STEAM education.
