Lights On Afterschool is a nationwide event, celebrated across the nation! Schools, community partners, educators, children and youth, and communities all celebrate the Lights are On Afterschool!
What is Lights On Afterschool?
Lights On Afterschool is an event that calls attention to the importance of afterschool programs and the resources required to keep the lights on and the doors open, especially as programs step up to help students, families, and communities in the pandemic.
Lights On Afterschool is a project of the Afterschool Alliance, a nonprofit public awareness and advocacy organization working to ensure that all children and youth have access to quality afterschool programs.

CAN, in partnership with the BOOST Collaborative and the Afterschool Alliance are excited to announce a free online #BOOSTtraining, “Advocacy for ALL.” This training will focus on:
- What Advocacy means
- How you can be an advocate for your communities
- How to leverage events like Lights On Afterschool to support your advocacy efforts.
