2027 Afterschool & Summer Challenge

CAN is thrilled to connect with youth, families, and leaders from across California to build leadership and advocacy power for out-of-school time (OST) programs on March 8 & 9, in Sacramento. This is a movement-building moment, and we want you to be part of it!

What You’ll Experience

• Learn and grow. Gain practical tools and training designed for emerging, experienced, and youth advocates, led by policy experts, community leaders, and young people themselves.
• March with purpose. Join hundreds of advocates as we take to the streets of Sacramento.
• Rally at the Capitol. Stand on the Capitol steps and hear from legislative champions, field leaders, families, and youth.
• Make your voice heard. Share your stories and expertise directly with legislators to make the case for out-of-school time.
• Build your base. Connect with advocates from your community to strengthen your local network and coordinate future efforts.

A Big Thank You

A huge shout-out to CalSAC and partners for organizing this incredible event. Their vision, dedication, and hard work bring together a statewide community ready to stand up for the programs that support our kids, families, and communities. We’re proud to stand alongside you.
