When and where is the 2026 Symposium?

The Site Coordinator Symposium will offer virtual and in-person engagement opportunities.

  • Virtual (Via Zoom): February 4, 2026
  • In-Person: February 27-28, 2026

Our In-Person Symposium will occur at the Hilton Long Beach in Long Beach, CA. A hotel group rooming block & rate will be shared soon. 

What does the Symposium include?

The Site Coordinator Symposium offers opportunities to build capacity and community. Whether virtually or in person, we offer multiple workshops, keynote speakers, and community-building events.

How much is registration? Is there a discount for Site Coordinators?

The Site Coordinator Symposium welcomes all participants and is dedicated to supporting Site Coordinators and Direct-Service staff in Expanded Learning and Out-of-School-Time (OST) programs.

When available, registration tickets labeled “Site Coordinator” are discounted for individuals serving in a direct-service role in an EXL/OST program.

Note: The presenter Rates outlined above apply to up to three presenters per workshop. The registration rates will be waived if any of the three presenters are Site Coordinators. Workshops may have more than three presenters, but they will pay the applicable non-presenter registration rates.

What is included in registration?

Will there be a hotel group rate?

A hotel group rate will be offered at the Hilton Long Beach in Long Beach, CA. The group rooming block & rates will be shared soon.

How can I present a Workshop?

We are especially seeking presentations from site coordinators! If a Site Coordinator is new to presenting, CAN is here to help and will provide resources to help build their presenting/facilitation skills.

We are also interested in workshops from those in leadership positions supporting site coordinators and those who will build the capacity of site coordinators and other attendees. Our goal is to offer workshops designed to build capacity and share promising practices to promote & enhance high-quality Expanded Learning (before school, after school, and summer) and Out-of-School Time (OST) Programs for children, youth, and families in CA.

Presenter Registration

The presenter rates outlined below apply to up to three presenters per workshop. If any of the three presenters are Site Coordinators, their registration rates will be waived. Workshops may have more than three presenters, but they will pay the applicable non-presenter registration rates.
